Qualifying squads in the Norwegian Open 2024 by STORM have been completed in Hønefoss, and we now know which 52 players have qualified for the finals tomorrow. A total of 188 players competed in the Norwegian Open this year, which is 14 more than last year.
The top 40 advance based on their results, while 12 additional players also progress to the final day through gateways. Here are the results for the top 40:
Finals 1
In this round, players ranked 29th to 40th from the regular results of the preliminary rounds, along with 12 gateway players (2 juniors, 2 veterans, 2 Turbo Series 5, 2 Turbo Series 6, 2 women, and 2 Early Bird), will play 4 games.
Finals 2
In this round, players ranked 25th to 28th from the regular results of the preliminary rounds, plus the top 12 from Finals 1, will play 3 games.
Finals 3
In this round, players ranked 17th to 24th from the regular results of the preliminary rounds, plus the top 8 from Finals 2, will play 3 games.
Finals 4
In this round, players ranked 9th to 16th from the regular results of the preliminary rounds, plus the top 8 from Finals 3, will play 3 games.
Finals 5
In this round, players ranked 1st to 8th from the regular results of the preliminary rounds, plus the top 8 from Finals 4, will play 6 games.
Stepladder Finals 1
In this round, players ranked 5th and 4th from Finals 5 will face off in a one-game match.
Stepladder Finals 2
The winner of Stepladder Finals 1 will face the player ranked 3rd from Finals 5.
Stepladder Finals 3
The winner of Stepladder Finals 2 will face the player ranked 2nd from Finals 5.
Stepladder Finals 4
The winner of Stepladder Finals 3 will face the player ranked 1st from Finals 5. The winner of this match will be crowned the champion of the Norwegian Open 2024 by STORM.
